Humbly ask, that as my day
My suffering strength may prove;
When my sorrows most increase,
Let thy strongest joys be given;
Jesu, come with my distress,
And agony is heaven!

For good remember me!
Me, whom thou hast caused to trust
For more than life on thee;
With me in the fire remain,
